IN WHICH CASE IS THE DRUG HÉPARGITOL PRESCRIBED?
This drug contains substances intended to facilitate digestion and an osmotic laxative ( sorbitol ) which draws water into the intestine and increases the volume of the stool.
It is used in the adjunctive treatment of constipation and difficult digestions.

CONTRAINDICATIONS OF THE DRUG HEPARGITOL
This medicine should not be used in the following cases:
- inflammatory bowel disease,
- bowel obstruction or condition predisposing to obstruction,
- abdominal pain of unknown cause,
- bile duct obstruction ,
- fructose intolerance .
ATTENTION
In case of constipation unexplained by the change of lifestyle, repetitive or prolonged abdominal pain, vomiting or diarrhea , this medication should not be taken without medical advice.
This medicine contains sugar ( sucrose ) and salt ( sodium ) in significant quantities.
FERTILITY, PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
Given the available data, the use of this medication is possible in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE AND DOSAGE OF THE DRUG HEPARGITOL
Simultaneously empty the contents of the two pockets of the sachet into half a glass of water. Shake until completely dissolved.
In case of difficult digestions, take this medication before meals or at the time of the troubles:
In people with colitis , the drug should preferably be taken after meals.
USUAL DOSE:
Difficult digestion:
- Adult : 1 bi-pocket sachet, 2 to 4 times a day.
- Child over 5 years old : 1 or 2 dual-pocket sachets per day.
- Child from 2 to 5 years old : 1 bipocket sachet per day or every 2 days.
Constipated :
- Adult : 2 dual-pocket sachets, in the morning on an empty stomach.
ADVICE
The treatment of constipation is essentially based on lifestyle and dietary measures: diet rich in fiber, drinking water rich in magnesium, regular physical activity and improvement of the position on the toilet.
